The Fuzz Throne by Dunwich Amplification is a versatile fuzz pedal designed for heavy, doomy tones. It was originally created for Jon in Conan and has been one of his primary fuzz pedals for several years. The pedal is based on the Cthulhu Fuzz design and features added controls for increased versatility. Key Features: \- Fuzz: Controls the amount of gain \- Tone: Passive EQ with the ability to adjust brightness \- Boost: Adds up to 30 dB of boost \- Volume: Controls the output volume The resulting pedal offers a thick, dirty, and doomy fuzz distortion with an adjustable boost after the EQ. This design provides more output volume and increased gain when the boost is maxed out, allowing for a wide range of tones and sonic possibilities. Design credit for the Fuzz Throne goes to Nick Williams from Dunwich Amps.
The Cthulhu Fuzz by Dunwich Amplification is a high gain silicon fuzz pedal with a single volume control. The fuzz is maximized, and the tone is shaped by the circuit. The foundation of this pedal is a fuzz face type circuit but with an additional gain stage to increase the maximum fuzz. It features a combination LED/silicon clipping designed to enhance the maximum fuzz. The pedal houses 4 transistors rather than the typical two found in a fuzz face circuit. The pedal is designed to be highly responsive and suitable for use with both guitar and bass.
