The Mr. Vermin by Chicago Stompworks is a handbuilt, boutique original RAT Distortion pedal clone, featuring the desirable version 2 with an LM308N chip, just like the original. The pedal delivers creamy, crunchy amp stack tone and is built on the original specs of its rodent ancestors. It comes with a clockwise filter control that cuts high frequencies as it is turned clockwise. The pedal is housed in a "1590b" enclosure size (4.37" X 2.37" X 1.07") to save space on your pedalboard. The circuit is accurate to the original, legendary "Rat V2" circuit, down to the reverse "hi-cut" tone pot. It is handbuilt with boutique quality throughout, true bypass wiring, best-in-class jacks, Alpha brand pots, and a 3pdt switch. The pedal operates with a standard, center negative "Boss style" 9v jack (or internal battery) and has a current draw of 2ma. The pedal covers almost every hard rock guitar tone needed. The pedal is available for pre-order and is priced at $59.99 with free USA shipping.
The Gray Speck by Chicago Stompworks is a boutique clone of the DOD OD250 "1979 gray spec" overdrive pedal. It features hand-built boutique quality throughout, true bypass, point-to-point wiring, and best-in-class Neutrik brand jacks and Alpha brand pots. The pedal can be powered using a standard center negative "Boss style" 9v jack or an internal battery. The original circuit, reproduced in the Gray Speck, is known for being the favorite of guitarists like Yngwie Malmsteen and many others. The current draw for the pedal is 2mA.
