The Electro-Harmonix Cntl Knob is a compact and affordable pedal that provides static remote control for devices with expression control jacks. It allows users to set two preset values representing two positions of a traditional expression pedal and toggle between them with its footswitch. The pedal's EXP 1 Knob selects the first expression setting, and the EXP 2 Knob selects the second, with fully counterclockwise corresponding to the heel position and fully clockwise to the toe position. LEDs indicate which knob is active and can be powered by a pedalboard's power supply.
To maximize compatibility with other products, the Cntl Knob is equipped with a TRS+/- Button that allows users to match its expression polarity with the device being controlled. Additionally, it comes with a 6-foot TRS (Tip-Ring- Sleeve) cable for extra convenience.
