The Faustone Valve Klipper is a tube-based preamp unit designed to achieve specific tones from a Laney Klipp and Marshall Plexi. It features two isolated 12AX7 tubes inside a heavy steel casing. The controls include a top boost toggle and a toggle to switch between the Laney preamp and the Marshall. The Volume control is universal, while the Klipp knob only works in the Klipp mode. The pedal can be bypassed by the stomp switch and features AC power with a 115v/230v switch for power compatibility. The Klipp section can achieve sounds from a boost to something much fuzzier, with the Klipp knob acting as a blend combining the boosted tone with the Klipp distortion. In Boost mode, the Valve Klipper will simply drive your amp, selecting either full-range boost or treble boost with the toggle. The amount of boost is controlled via the Volume knob. The pedal is switchable for input AC operation at 120V/240V and takes a separate plug-in three-prong earthed international standard power cord. It is usable in almost all countries except Japan, which operates at 100V. The internal voltage is 300V, making it a true tube operation pedal and essentially a valve preamp, as opposed to lower DC operation like most small format "tube" pedals.
