The Sinusoid by Gurus is a tube-driven pedal designed to replicate the vintage effects found in early 60s American amps. It features two independent effects that can be recalled individually or combined using footswitches. The specific features and technical specifications are as follows:
Reverb:
- Real tube-driven analog reverb circuit equipped with an ACCUTRONICS™ double
springs tank
- Fine-tuning of frequencies to achieve the feeling of vintage 60s spring
reverb tanks
Vibro (Vibrato):
- Real tube-driven optical tremolo circuit using a sinusoidal wave coupled
with proprietary Gurus technology using LDR (Light Dependent Resistor) to
match the character of vintage vibrato channels
Other Features:
- Remote outs for connections with analog switchers to operate the pedal
outside of the pedalboard without causing mechanical noises
- Remote switcher must have clean contacts without common ground wiring
Power Requirements:
- Powering Sinusoid: Drains around 230mA on 9VDC and 300mA on 12VDC, with an
internal power output section (1.2W amp) that drives the reverb tank,
potentially requiring up to 400mA on 12VDC
- Standard negative tip power supply with sufficient current for optimum
performance is recommended
Controls:
1. Volume: Input level
2. Reverb: Effect level
3. Magic eye display showing the input level
4. Intensity: Vibrato level
5. Speed: Speed of vibrato
6. Magic eye display showing the impulsive vibrato speed
7. On/Off reverb
8. On/Off vibrato
9. Remote switching out
10. Tube 12AU7/ECC82 estimated replacement time is 3000 hours
11. Power in 9 to 12VDC negative tip, 400mA required
12. Signal input
