The Mad Doctor Stutter by IdiotBox Effects is an automatic kill switch machine that turns the signal completely on and off. It features a -RATE knob that controls the speed rate of the ON/OFF switching, adjustable from slow to fast, and a -RATIO control that slews the amount of ON vs. OFF. With the -RATIO knob maxed and the switch to the right, it gives 50% ON and 50% OFF switching. Backing off the -RATIO knob results in more ON signal and less OFF. Flipping the switch to the left reverses the ratio, allowing for a more blippy percussive sound.
The pedal has an expression pedal input, enabling users to change the speed rate on the fly, creating unique and interesting sounds. It comes in a 4.7" x 3.7" x 1.18" enclosure, with true bypass switching, a common 9V center negative BOSS style power input, and a battery snap. The current draw is 12mA, and the power supply is not included.
Additionally, the Mad Doctor Stutter has received positive feedback from users, with testimonials praising its feature set, intuitive tap tempo, and its effectiveness as a tremolo/automatic kill switch machine.
