Kongpressor

The Orange Kongpressor is an analogue Class A compression pedal designed to add an organic three-dimensional quality to any rig. It features an internal charge pump that doubles the operating voltage of the pedal to 18V, resulting in increased headroom and output volume. The pedal is powered by 9 or 12V DC and can be used with a regulated AC-DC adaptor fitted with a center negative plug (2.1mm). Running at 12V enhances the headroom and output volume available.

The Kongpressor offers controls for compression (Squash), output (Volume), Attack, Release, and an active treble control for boosting or cutting high frequencies (Chime). It also includes a transparent, low impedance buffered bypass output and has a current draw of 35mA at 9V. The dimensions of the pedal are (W) 95 x (H) 65 x (D) 130mm, and it weighs 462g excluding the battery.

The pedal is suitable for fine-tuning or radically altering dynamics and tone, and it can be placed first in the signal chain or after drive pedals for a more subtle studio tone. The Kongpressor is known for delivering remarkable tone, sustain, and brightness, and it offers up to 12dB of clean gain. It is an optical compressor pedal type and is powered by 1 x 9V battery or a 9V-12V DC power supply.
