Description

The Retro-Sonic Eight-0-Eight Overdrive is a faithful recreation of the original Ibanez TS-808 Tube Screamer circuit and features the JRC4558D op-amp. It provides tube-like overdrive effects while retaining the guitar's original tone. The pedal is built with metal film resistors and caps for the best fidelity possible. The op-amp is mounted in a socket, allowing for easy chip swapping. An internal trimpot allows for adjustment to the amount of bottom- end content present, ranging from stock TS-808 to nearly flat response. The mids are not taken away, and the bottom is brought up, providing flexibility in shaping the low-end response.
