Description

The Old Growth by Spruce Effects is a silicon fuzz pedal inspired by variations of the classic muff and the haunting old-growth spruce forests of Norway. It is designed to be dynamic, heavy, and responsive to the guitar's tonal qualities without masking the fundamental sound. The pedal features the following technical specifications:

- True Bypass
- Switchcraft Jacks
- High-quality stomp switch with nickel-plated lugs, phenolic plastic casing, and precision-engineered switching mechanism
- Enclosure printed in the USA
- Hand-wired and assembled in California
- Power: Requires 9v, center-negative power
- Controls:
- Input on the right side, output to amp on the left
- True-bypass stomp switch for on/off, indicated by LED
- "Ring" controls the fuzz effect volume, with louder settings achieved by turning clockwise
- "Bark" controls the amount of fuzz, with more fuzz achieved by turning clockwise
- "Girth" controls the tone of the effect, with more bass achieved by turning counter-clockwise, more treble achieved by turning clockwise, and scooped mids at approximately 1Khz
- "Cut" toggle adds mids back in the up position and scoops them in the down position
- "Clip" toggle changes the diodes in the clipping circuit; the up position is louder and adds clarity, while the down position is stock

The pedal is finished in white and was released in 2018. It is made in the United States.
