The BOSS MZ-2 Digital Metalizer is a distortion pedal featuring six different modes, including straight distortion, distortion with digital delay (three types), and distortion with digital chorus (two types). The pedal incorporates an analog circuit for distortion and a digital chip for chorus and delay functions. It offers stereo outputs and is designed to meet the needs of heavy metal and hard rock musicians. The controls include Level, Tone, Drive, and a 6-way Mode switch. The pedal has a current draw of 70 mA (DC 9V) and weighs 450g (0.99 lbs). It is equipped with input and output connectors, as well as an AC adaptor. The MZ-2 was sold from December 1987 to August 1992.
