It offers stereo outputs and is designed to meet the needs of heavy metal and hard rock musicians. The controls include Level, Tone, Drive, and a 6-way Mode switch. The pedal has a current draw of 70 mA (DC 9V) and weighs 450g (0.99 lbs). It is equipped with input and output connectors, as well as an AC adaptor. The MZ-2 was sold from December 1987 to August 1992.
