Classic Opto-Compressor V2

The Classic Opto-Compressor V2 by Carl Martin features an onboard light- sensitive cell to attenuate the compression applied to the signal. It is a 100% analog old-school compressor designed to provide classic guitar sounds. The pedal includes four controls: Gain, which controls the 'pre-glow' of the optical circuit; Level, which controls the overall volume of the compressor; Compression, which controls the intensity of the compression; and Attack, which adjusts the signal from transparent to total squeeze.

The Classic Opto-Compressor comes in a solid diecast housing with cool chicken-head knobs, CM color and graphics, and a 9V battery compartment. It is part of the Vintage Series and is made in China. The pedal is equipped with buffered bypass and runs on a 9V battery or a regulated power supply. The dimensions of the pedal are approximately 9.5 cm in width, 5.6 cm in height, and 12 cm in depth, with a weight of around 0.35 kg.
