The Woozy by Champion Leccy is a lo-fi modulation pedal that offers a wide range of features. It covers chorus, vibrato, spangly sounds, arpeggiating pitch shifting, and haunting reverb/warped tape delay effects. The pedal includes various controls:
1. Black Knobs:
- Love: Adjusts volume.
- Cheer: Blends the dry signal with the modulated signal.
- Dregs: Acts as a low-pass filter switch.
2. White Knobs:
- Sway: Controls the depth of modulation.
- Tide: Adjusts the speed of the LFO (Low-Frequency Oscillation).
3. White Knob with Squiggly Lines:
- LFO waveform selector, offering various waveform options.
4. Red Knobs:
- Hangover: Adds delay time.
- Backwash: Adds repeats to the echo or shimmer to modulation.
The pedal also features a tap tempo footswitch and an internal trimpot for adjusting the offset of the LFO. It has a current draw of 60 mA and requires a standard BOSS style +9V center-negative power supply.
The V2 Woozy has the same sound as the original version but includes improvements such as a quieter PCB, a redesigned cheer knob with a true 100% dry/wet blend, and an extra position on the dregs switch. Additionally, occasional acid-etched Woozies are available, each with its own unique character.
All Champion Leccy pedals and devices are designed and hand-built in Philadelphia.
