The Colorsound Power Boost is a pedalboard-friendly recreation and expansion of the legendary Power Boost circuit. It is based on the original Colorsound Power Booster, one of the first overdrive effects pedals made available to the masses, popularized in the 1970s and used by various classic rock guitar legends. The pedal features controls for Gain, Level, Bass, Mild, and Treble to shape the sonic character of the effect. It offers true bypass operation and a new external switch to select "Hot" or "Mild" gain headroom, as well as a Mild control for adjustable lower gain levels. The pedal requires a 9-18vDC center negative tip power supply and has dimensions of 112 x 60 x 31mm (enclosure only). The input impedance is 1 MΩ, and it utilizes BC169 and BC184 transistors. The current draw at 9V is 5mA, and at 18V is 10mA.
