The Compressor MKII by Empress Effects is an analog compressor pedal designed for guitar and bass. It features an all-analog signal path, providing transparent dynamic control without altering the original tone of the instrument. The pedal offers three compression ratios (2:1, 4:1, and 10:1) for flexibility, along with independent attack and release controls to fine-tune compression characteristics. Additionally, it includes a mix knob to blend the dry signal with the compressed signal for parallel compression.
The Compressor MKII also features a gain reduction meter, true bypass, and clear LED metering of input and output signals. It has an input impedance of 1M, output impedance of 2.2k, and a frequency response of 40Hz to 35kHz. The pedal operates on a power input voltage of 9-18V DC (negative tip) and consumes approximately 100mA of power. The enclosure is made of die-cast aluminum and measures approximately 4.5" x 3.5" x 1.5", making it compact and portable.
The pedal is suitable for both guitar and bass applications, offering a wide range of controls and transparent compression characteristics.
