The Powerball Distortion Pedal by Engl is tonally based on the Lead2 channel of the Engl Powerball II, replicating the gain stages of the amp itself. It features controls for Gain, Bass, Middle, Treble, and Volume. The pedal operates on 9V DC negative center and is protected by a ZERO LOSS REVERSE POLARITY PROTECTION circuit. Additionally, it has a second DC jack for supplying additional effect devices through daisy chaining. The pedal does not accept batteries due to ecological reasons, and its power consumption is 18 mA. The pedal also offers true bypass functionality, allowing the signal to be routed directly from the input to the output jack when the effect is off.
