The Fenris by Fjord Fuzz is a super fuzz pedal that offers ungodly levels of saturated gain. It features a preamp found at the dry input of the Space Echo tape machine and has six knobs for control: Volume, Bias Gate, Filter Mix, Octave Bias, Gain, and Filter Depth. The internal gain in the circuit is massive, allowing for a flexible notch filter and the ability to manipulate the signal's EQ curve. Additionally, it includes a mushroom knob for applying a mild, passive gate to the output stage and a triangle knob for adjusting octaving.
In terms of technical specifications, the Fenris is powered with 9VDC, center tip negative, similar to Boss pedals. The current draw is relatively high due to the use of logic-based relay switching. The current consumption is approximately 70mA when engaged.
The pedal's dimensions are 5.5 x 6.7 x 12.2cm, and it is designed to provide a wide range of fuzz sounds suitable for both recording and live performances.
