The Amp Mode

The Amp Mode by Jackson Audio is a MOSFET transistor boost pedal with the following technical specifications:

The Amp Mode features 9-18V operation, true bypass switching, and a tiny footprint with top-mounted jacks. It is designed to be used as a preamp for the overall signal, a boost to push an overdrive pedal further into saturation, or as a post-overdrive boost to clarify and push the guitar forward in the mix. The boost control sets the overall boost, and the pedal can safely run from 9V-18V DC, with increased headroom and dynamic response at 18V. The bypass switch is a mechanical true bypass switch.

The circuit is based on a MOSFET transistor, known for its "amp-like" characteristics when it clips. The Amp Mode addresses the common issue of noticeable crackle when the boost knobs are rotated, ensuring a silent operation and delivering a loud and harmonically rich boost.
