Description

The Chemist V2 by Matthews Effects is a versatile modulation pedal designed for guitarists. It features two rows of identical controls, allowing users to switch between the top and bottom row with the push of a button, providing the convenience of presets without the need for programming or menu diving. The pedal's dimensions are 2.67 x 4.77 x 1.55 inches, with top-mounted input and output jacks. It operates on a 9VDC center-negative power supply with a power draw of 100mA.

The pedal offers three modulation algorithms:
1. Chorus: A vintage analog-inspired chorus that delivers warm tones.
2. Phaser: Inspired by classic vintage phaser units, offering mind-altering phaser effects.
3. Octave: Provides a polyphonic organ-inspired octave effect that adds layers to the playing.

The Chemist V2 includes unique features such as:
- Presets without menus or programming: The two rows of identical knobs consist of Reaction, Catalyst, and Formula controls, allowing users to independently select algorithms for each row via 3-position switches on the side of the pedal.
- Alt Switch: Enables users to jump between the two rows of controls, providing the advantages of presets without dealing with menus or programming.
- Alternate Jack Out: Allows remote control of the Alt and bypass switches using a TRS cable, with the analog dry path signal keeping the instrument's dry signal completely analog while mixing in the digital wet signal.

Additionally, the pedal features a soft-touch footswitch designed for durability on the road and includes Matthews Effects' limited 5-year warranty.
