Megalith Delta Effects Pedal

The Megalith Delta Effects Pedal by MI Audio is a high-gain distortion pedal designed to emulate the Megalith Delta high-gain tube amplifier's distortion characteristics. It utilizes a JFET transistor to simulate the gain stages of the preamp valves, providing a solid-state "model" of the Beta preamp. The pedal features a GAIN control with a wide sweep, allowing for solid rock tones, serious crunch, and dark shades of brutal distortion. The GAIN BOOST footswitch takes the pedal to its highest gain, tightening the response with an upper mid emphasis.

The pedal includes a unique CONTOUR control, which affects the frequency response of the phase inverter in the power amp, allowing for adjustments from fat and midrangy to a scooped and tightened tone. The three-band EQ section, coupled with the EQ SHIFT SWITCH, provides a wide range of tonal control, offering different signature tones and traditional British or American voicings.

The Megalith Delta also features an output section with voltage doubling circuitry, allowing the 9V supplied by a battery or DC adaptor to be increased to 18V within the pedal's circuitry, producing crushing low end without mush. Additionally, the V2 version of the pedal includes a GAIN TRIM for toning down the gain and a SPEAKER SIMULATED OUTPUT for direct recording or simultaneous applications.
