Description

The BigSky by Strymon is a versatile and powerful guitar reverb pedal designed to deliver studio-class reverb experiences. It offers twelve unique reverb machines, including Room, Hall, Plate, Spring, Swell, Bloom, Cloud, Chorale, Shimmer, Magneto, Nonlinear, and Reflections. The pedal features seven front- panel tone shaping knobs for Decay, Pre-Delay, Mix, Tone, Mod, Param 1, and Param 2, which are assignable per preset. Additionally, it provides 300 easily accessible and namable presets, along with press-and-hold Infinite Sustain and Freeze functions, which are saveable per preset.

The BigSky pedal also includes spillover and Reverb Persist modes, which are also saveable per preset. It offers selectable Speaker Cabinet emulation for direct-to-PA gigs or recording applications. The pedal can be controlled using an expression pedal and features MIDI input and output for integration with external MIDI controllers.

In terms of hardware, the BigSky pedal features stereo input and output, as well as an expression pedal input with selectable control over any knob or combination of knobs, which can be saved per preset. The pedal operates on a 9V DC 300mA power supply, which is included.

The sound design of the BigSky pedal is based on hand-crafted, studio-class reverb algorithms that deliver lush, gorgeous, and musically inspiring reverb experiences. The pedal utilizes traditional reverb elements such as feedback- delay networks, allpass-delay-filter loops, Schroeder reverb sections, multi- tapped delay-lines, as well as all-new reverb elements developed by Strymon.

The BigSky pedal is designed to empower creativity without getting in the way, offering simple yet powerful controls and easy customization of reverb sounds. It is a comprehensive reverb workstation suitable for a wide range of musical styles and applications.
