The Liquid Sunshine MKIII features two drive knobs that control two separate gain stages, each with its own characteristics. The top drive knob pushes the overall frequency range, while the bottom drive knob accentuates the middle and high frequencies. These knobs are highly interactive, allowing the pedal to function as a clean boost, treble booster, or overdrive.

Additionally, the pedal includes two internal switches for bass and treble boost, providing flexibility for different amp setups. The emphasis control replaces the second drive knob, allowing users to adjust the overall character without making the overdrive too bright.

The pedal is designed to work well when stacked with other drive pedals, making it suitable for various musical styles and performance requirements.
