The pedal is housed in a robust metal enclosure with dimensions of 145x70x60mm, designed to fit perfectly across two Pedaltrain spars. It features true bypass and can be powered by a 9-volt mains supply or battery.

The tremolo aspect of the pedal is inspired by the original Repeat Percussion unit and offers a wide range of speed, from slow to fast, with a depth control that can provide subtle washes of modulation or more pronounced effects. The waveform of the tremolo is described as sawtooth, delivering a percussive and rhythmic sound.

Additionally, the Chain Home Tremolo incorporates a clean boost circuit that can provide a significant amount of clean boost to enhance the guitar signal. The boost knob allows for unity at 0800, with further rotation increasing the volume and a powerful tone control that can adjust the sound from fat to thin.
