The Peacekeeper by ThorpyFX is a low gain overdrive pedal designed to suit all guitars and amps while delivering versatile tonal characteristics. It features a combination of post-gain active treble and bass circuitry with a pre-gain mids/presence control, allowing users to tailor the overdrive character and tonality to their specific needs. The pre-gain mids control enables a smooth mid-scooped gain type to a more pronounced mid-humped gain, providing a wide range of tonal options. Additionally, the active treble and bass controls adapt the focused gain stage to achieve the desired tonality.
The pedal is built with robust physical features, including recessed knobs and top-mounted jacks, and utilizes a combination of a stainless steel laser- etched center console wrapped in a tough baseplate. Internally, the pedal is constructed with premium components, including 1% metalfilm resistors, Wima and Panasonic capacitors, Neutrik jacks, and a Burr-Brown Opamp, ensuring high-quality sound. The pedal is housed in a custom-engineered enclosure with dimensions of (W)65mm x (L)125mm x (H)53mm (top of knobs).
The Peacekeeper operates at a current draw of 25mA and is designed to work at voltages of 9V DC, with power supplied through a center-negative power supply. It is a true bypass pedal and is designed for mono input and output. The pedal does not work on batteries and is made in the UK.
