Zvex Inventobox by ZVEX

The Zvex Inventobox by ZVEX is a unique product designed to facilitate the design, building, and modification of guitar pedals without the need for soldering. It features a modular design with two channels, allowing users to build one or two different devices into the same box. The unit consists of four basic components:

1. Enclosure: The enclosure includes four permanently-mounted 100k potentiometers (rotary controls), two 3-position switches, 5 multi-colored LEDs, and two stomp switches with on/off LEDs.

2. Internal Components: Inside the dual enclosure, there is a window containing connectors to access the input and output for channels 1 and 2, an LED work light, a 9VDC power connection, and various connectors for the multi- colored LEDs and potentiometers.

3. Lid: The lid for the upper part of the enclosure contains 12 removable potentiometers, 12 LEDs, and sockets for easy hook-up of wires from the pedal circuit to the various controls and LEDs. It also features a removable brass shielded tray containing an experimenter’s socket for building up circuits.

4. Design Features: The Zvex Inventobox incorporates several unique design features, including electrostatic shielding, a specially-designed circuit board, and a variety of cables for connecting the experimenter’s socket to the inside of the lower enclosure.

The Zvex Inventobox also comes with three modules, including the Super Hard- On, the Fuzz Factory, and a fully-buffered Tone Stack module that emulates the bass/mid/treble controls on a Marshall® amplifier. These modules plug into the experimenter’s socket, eliminating the need to wire up individual components. The pedal allows for easy assembly and modification of modules, providing users with the flexibility to customize their own circuits.

The Inventobox is designed to be open-source, allowing users to design and build their own modules for the pedal. It offers a wide range of effect choices and encourages experimentation with various components to achieve unique tones.
