The Analog Man Mini Bi-Comp is a versatile pedal that combines two effects in one unit. The left side is based on an improved version of the Ross compressor (compROSSor), while the right side features the Dan Armstrong Orange Squeezer (Juicer). Each effect is independent and can be used separately or together, with the Juicer placed before the compROSSor if used together.
Basic specifications include true bypass on both effects, two 3PDT stomp switches, two LEDs (yellow for the Juicer and red for the compROSSor), and a power adaptor jack (9V Boss style). The compROSSor side features volume and sustain knobs, while the Juicer side features a volume knob. Optional mix and attack knobs are also available.
The pedal can be powered by a 9V alkaline internal battery or a 9V DC negative center adaptor. The compROSSor side is similar to an MXR DynaComp but with improvements to provide more solid sustain and less wavering. The Juicer side offers smooth compression and "squashing" tone, adding a bit of grit to the sound.
The Mini Bi-Comp is the same size as the Juicer or small compressor and works on battery or 9V DC adaptor. It is recommended for power supply use rather than battery. The REV5 version with MIX control became available in early 2016, offering additional flexibility in sound shaping.
The pedal is known for its high-quality components and versatile sound capabilities, making it a popular choice for guitarists seeking a compact yet powerful compressor pedal.
