The Barber Electronics Burn Unit EQ is a dual overdrive/distortion pedal designed to blur the lines between overdrive and distortion. It offers plenty of sustain and harmonics while maintaining a defined sound. The EQ model features powerful internal controls for presence, deep clear bass, and midrange, allowing players to dial in the Burn Unit to perfectly match their amp and guitar. The pedal is hand-made in the USA with bold and beautiful thru-hole components, a mix of NOS and current parts. It features a simple control-set meant to guide users between a wide range of sounds, with two three-way toggles for midrange and dynamics. The dynamics control sets the point where the distortion starts to compress and break up, offering a range of breakup levels from barely there to vintage tweed, 60s-70s rock, and a serious fusion amp sound. The midrange control provides levels between neutral to mid-forward. Additionally, the pedal has an internal bass trim pot that can be adjusted to match different amp settings. The Burn Unit EQ pedal is available for purchase at a price of $169.95.
