The BOSS PS-5 Super Shifter is a compact pedal with high-quality pitch shifting, Harmonist, and tremolo arm effects. It features intelligent, key- specific pitch shifting of single notes using simple Pitch and Key knobs with scale display. The Key Shift function outputs continuous shifted tone for playing in different keys, while the Detune effect provides slight shifting for "fattening" a guitar sound. Additionally, the Tremolo Arm effect bends single notes up or down to a pre-selected value when the pedal is activated, and an optional expression pedal can be connected for real-time control. The Flutter effect simulates fast or slow "slap" or "slam" of a tremolo bar when the pedal is depressed. The pedal is equipped with a high-performance 24-bit DSP (digital sound processor) chip and is covered by the BOSS 5-year warranty.
