The TARS by Collision Devices is a fuzz/analog filter pedal designed to combine the guitar and synth worlds. It features a fuzz circuit derived from the Black Hole Symmetry pedal and a filter inspired by the Korg MS-20. The fuzz section includes a gain control for creating grainy low-gain sounds to round and powerful fuzz/distortion tones. The filter is based on an LM13700 stage with a low-pass filter cut-off frequency of the MS-20 style low-pass filter. It offers adjustable attenuation curves with 2P/4P switch, a fuzz switch for adding an extra unfiltered fuzz signal, and S-// serial/parallel switch for routing options. Additionally, it includes an EXP/CV input for controlling the cutoff fader externally. The pedal is powered by a 9V DC power supply and features a 2.1 mm barrel plug with negative center and a 150 mA current draw. The TARS is made in France and is designed for creating fuzzy- noisy textures and cutting through the mix with its unique filter possibilities.
