The Nano Metal Muff by Electro-Harmonix is a distortion pedal designed for heavy metal players. It features a newly designed noise gate to eliminate unwanted hum when not playing. The pedal offers commanding bass, sculpted mids, and defined highs, along with user-controlled distortion from pinched- edge to totally crushing. The controls include DIST knob for adjusting the amount of distortion and saturation, GATE knob for adjusting the noise floor threshold, VOL knob for setting the overall output level, BASS knob for providing up to 14dB of cut and boost in the bass frequency range, MID knob for providing up to 15dB of cut and boost in the middle frequency range, and TREBLE knob for providing up to 10dB of cut and boost in the treble frequency range.
The Nano Metal Muff has a compact, pedalboard-friendly footprint and offers extensive EQ control. It operates on a 9V battery (included) or an optional 9.6VDC-200mA power adapter. The pedal has a buffered bypass and mono audio. The dimensions of the pedal are 4.5" x 2.75" x 2.1" (unboxed) and it weighs 0.65 lbs. The input impedance at the INPUT jack is 1MΩ, and the output impedance at the OUTPUT jack is 600Ω. The pedal requires 24mA current draw at 9VDC and has a maximum input signal level in bypass, before clipping, of +8.5dBu.
