The Empress Multidrive is a versatile distortion pedal featuring three different drive circuits - fuzz, overdrive, and distortion - all in one unit. It offers the ability to blend these drive tones to create a wide array of unique sounds. The pedal's innovative analog signal path utilizes germanium diodes, class-A BJT amplifiers, FET distortion, and soft LED clipping curves to deliver amp-like tones. Each drive circuit can be individually high-pass and low-pass filtered, providing infinite tonal possibilities. The Multidrive also features independent control over the amount of fuzz, distortion, and overdrive added in parallel, with the option to engage high pass or low pass filters for each. Additionally, it includes a comprehensive EQ with smooth- sounding high and low shelving EQ combined with a powerful frequency- selectable mid-band bell. The pedal employs true bypass and features a small enclosure measuring approximately 4.5" by 3.5" by 1.5". It operates on a power input voltage of 9 - 18 V DC (Negative tip) with a power consumption of 180mA. The enclosure is made of die-cast aluminum and includes input and output connectors, as well as true display LEDs to indicate its operation status.
