FREE THE TONE Black Vehicle

The FREE THE TONE Black Vehicle BV-1V is a bass overdrive pedal that is part of the Integrated Series, which was initiated as FREE THE TONE’s 15th- anniversary project. The pedal features a newly developed HTS (Holistic Tonal Solution) circuit for electric bass guitars, designed to prevent a thin sound and ensure uniform texture of the sounds when the unit is turned on and off. The HTS circuit also optimally feeds the received signals to the following circuit.

Additionally, the Black Vehicle includes newly designed EQ circuits and a MIX circuit. The TREBLE and BASS EQ circuits affect only the drive sound, while the unprocessed original signal (dry sound) is mixed with the drive sound in the MIX circuit. This setup minimizes signal phase error, prevents the sound from being buried when the drive amount is increased, and realizes an ultimate drive sound with a clear pitch and contour of sound.

The pedal provides two types of boost: "PRE BOOST" controls the sound amount sent to the overdrive section, and "POST BOOST" adjusts the output volume, allowing for extensive sound manipulation. The Black Vehicle is designed to deliver sparkling overtones, long sustain, and a pleasant drive sound, providing a wide range of "amp-like" sounds.
