Description

The Emperor V2 by JHS is an analog chorus/vibrato pedal designed to deliver vintage-correct effects with modern control features. It utilizes a Bucket Brigade 3207 chipset to achieve the warmth of '80s-style analog chorus pedals. The pedal offers a mini toggle switch to select between chorus and vibrato effects, along with three available waveform types (sine, square, and triangle). The intuitive controls include Volume, EQ (active EQ control that functions as a Tilt), Speed, and Depth.

The pedal provides in-depth tempo control through the Speed knob, tap tempo footswitch, and the option to use an external expression pedal for variable control in real time. It also features a Tap/Exp mini switch for controlling the side-mounted Tap/Exp TRS jack and an LED indicator to notify the effect’s tempo, even when disengaged.

Additional features include stereo output capability, the ability to select between buffered or true-bypass operation, and a high-quality buffer to drive long cable runs and restore high-end loss. The pedal requires standard 9V DC negative power, consumes 57mA, and measures 2.6" x 4.8" x 1.6".

The Emperor V2 is suitable for a wide range of use-cases, from adding subtle sheen to a sound to creating convincing rotary speaker simulation or seasick vibrato. It is designed to be versatile and adaptable to various musical styles and setups.
