The Keeley Electronics Time Machine Boost is a two-channel guitar preamp and booster effect pedal designed to deliver a range of powerful guitar tones and effectively drive tube amps into overdrive or saturation. The pedal features two channels: vintage and modern. The vintage channel is inspired by vintage germanium treble boost pedals, while the modern channel provides a new +23dB gain dual JFET, transparent guitar signal amplification.
The Time Machine Boost design incorporates a Maxim MAX1044 voltage doubling IC to achieve additional headroom. The vintage side of the pedal is fine-tuned through careful calibration and ear tuning to produce perfect treble boosting tones, utilizing top-of-the-line audiophile-style parts. The modern side features popular J201 JFETs for maximum tube-like tone and clear highs.
This booster is intended to be used with other overdrive pedals to complete a tone package or drive section of an effects setup. It is not an overdrive or distortion pedal and is designed to be used in conjunction with other OD pedals.
The pedal is handcrafted in the USA and is designed to be a versatile tool for guitarists seeking a wide range of tonal options and additional gain for their setups.
