Anthony EastonThe Sericon by Mojo Hand FX is a highly tweakable and interactive version of a "professional" gold overdrive pedal. It offers three separate controls for gain manipulation: Drive, Gain, and Blaze. The Drive control affects the level of the first stage, influencing the harmonic complexity of the subsequent stages. The Gain control adjusts the gain of the second stage, while the Blaze control is a low-pass filter that is highly interactive with the other controls. At lower Gain/Drive settings, the filter brings in low-end warmth, and at higher settings, it can tighten low end or add thick saturation.
Additional features include a post-distortion control of the high frequencies (Treble), true bypass, and standard center negative 9V DC supply (not included). The pedal's dimensions are 4.7" L x 3.69" W x 1.37" H.
The Sericon offers various drive options, ranging from clean always-on boost to edge-of-breakup to all-out shred, making it suitable for a wide range of musical styles and use-cases.
