The Pete Cornish TB-83+ is a treble booster designed to enhance the tone and overdrive characteristics of low-gain amplifiers, particularly the "Normal Channel" in vintage Vox AC30s. It is also suitable for use with other low-gain amps lacking built-in treble boost. Each unit is hand-built, wired, and tested by Pete, Lynda, and Mingus Cornish, ensuring high quality and attention to detail.

Technical Information:

  1. The TB-83+ was originally designed as an interface between Burns Tri-Sonic pickups and the "Normal" input on vintage Vox AC30 amplifiers.
  2. Each TB-83+ unit is individually numbered, signed, and dated internally, providing full traceability and history.
  3. The active circuitry is potted in semi-flexible resin to protect against environmental conditions and eliminate the possibility of microphonic feedback.
  4. The maximum output of the TB-83+ is +10dBm, with a measured output noise of -82dBm and a signal-to-noise ratio of 92dB.
  5. It is equipped with an input for a DC adapter (5.5/2.1mm, center pin negative), requiring a noise-free, fully stabilized 9V DC supply capable of providing 20mA.
