Class A Boost

The Pigtronix Class A Boost is a micro effects pedal designed to provide clean boost and warm tone enhancement. It features a discreet "Class A" FET transistor audio path and can deliver up to 20dB of clean boost. The pedal is effective with both instrument and line level inputs, offering a frequency response of 20Hz to 20kHz. The maximum output before clipping is 8.0V p-p, and it operates on a voltage range of 9–18V DC with a current draw of 2mA at 18V. The pedal also offers true bypass functionality and can be powered by a Pigtronix 18VDC adapter (sold separately). The dimensions of the Pigtronix Class A Boost are 2.4" x 4.4" x 1".

The Class A Boost is suitable for adding punch and extra output to overdrive and distortion sounds, as well as hitting the front end of a tube amp to achieve a layer of sweetness and fat tone. Its superior signal-to-noise performance allows for flexible placement within a pedal chain.
