Cephalopod

The Cephalopod by Skreddy is an aggressive octave-up germanium fuzz pedal designed to track notes very well. It features a silicon impedance-matching input stage, allowing it to play nicely anywhere in the signal chain and enabling the germanium fuzz to sing regardless of buffers. The pedal is known for its ability to sustain notes and provide a strong octave-up effect with a full, natural bottom end. It is described as not finicky or temperamental, with good results being easy to achieve.

The Cephalopod is designed to be a standalone fuzz-octave pedal with no need to stack with other gain pedals. It is recommended to achieve the best pure octave results using the neck pickup and playing around the 12th fret region. The pedal is also noted for its ease of use and strong voice, providing a powerful, creamy fuzz voice with a prominent octave-up effect.

In terms of power requirements, the Cephalopod operates on regular 9v negative ground and does not have any special power requirements. It does not include a 9v battery, but it can be powered using an AC adapter. The pedal accepts the industry-standard 9v DC plug (5.5mm barrel x 2.1mm center coax), with a negative tip. It is recommended to use a quality, regulated, filtered power supply.
