The Anamnesis Echo by Subdecay is a modulated echo effect pedal with approximately 600ms of maximum delay time. It features adjustable speed, depth, and regeneration controls, allowing for the creation of lush walls of modulated swirling delay. The pedal is designed with a companderless design to keep artifacts out and let the player's performance shine through. The Anamnesis Echo is powered by a regulated 9VDC to 18VDC adapter with a negative center 2.1mm barrel style plug. The pedal's circuitry runs at 18V, providing cleaner decays and more headroom before clipping compared to delays running at 9V. The Anamnesis Echo is housed in a single MXR-style enclosure and includes controls for level (blend), regen, time, LFO depth, and speed. Additionally, it features an internal switch that allows the delay decay to continue repeating once the bypass has been engaged. The pedal's LFO can modulate the delay trails, creating a unique modulated-delay sound with a wide range of speed and intensity. The Anamnesis Echo is suitable for creating a variety of effects, including modulated walls of sound, arpeggiated single-note phrases, and video game-like clangs. The pedal has been tested with a Fender US Lone Star Stratocaster and a vintage 1965 Fender Twin Reverb amplifier, demonstrating its versatility and ability to produce a range of tones, from hazy, woozy shoegaze tones to wild percussive-like sounds. Overall, the Subdecay Anamnesis Echo offers a unique combination of cool delay and warble, making it a versatile and expressive tool for guitarists.
