Description

The Time by Crazy Tube Circuits is a delay/echo pedal designed to replicate the sound of tape and magnetic drum echoes from the past. It features separate analog and digital paths for a unique sounding delay/echo that warms up the tone. The pedal utilizes an all-analog signal path with a Burr Brown opamp and high-quality passive components to reproduce the dry signal faithfully. Additionally, it incorporates two digital recording devices and carefully tuned analog filtering placed in parallel with the analog dry path to create ambient echoes.

The Time pedal offers up to one full second of delay time via the m/sec knob or tap tempo footswitch, with three divisions (quarters, dotted eighths, and triplets). It also includes the ability to instantly max out the repeats (oscillate) by pressing the tap footswitch constantly, entering hold mode. Furthermore, the pedal features a subtle modulation that can be switched on/off and its speed/intensity controlled easily via the m/sec knob while in hold mode.

Users can choose between true bypass and a pristine buffered bypass with trails. The pedal is housed in a robust metal casing and is powered by a 9V DC mains adapter. The dimensions of the pedal are 125 x 65 x 55 mm, and it weighs 350g. The Crazy Tube Circuits Time Mk3 is made in Greece and has been available since July 2021.
