The Reptile by T-Rex Engineering is a delay pedal designed to offer a full range of advanced delay features, including tape-delay flutter simulation, in a compact and intuitively designed unit. It is a part of the Replica family of delay pedals and is known for delivering warm vintage tones.
Key Features:
- ECHO knob: Determines the mix of direct and delayed signal, allowing for
subtle natural effects or doubling/freaky long delay effects.
- REPEAT knob: Controls the number of times a sound is repeated, from once to
a virtual infinity.
- TIME knob: Adjusts the rate of echo repeats from 10ms to 1 second, enabling
experimentation with classic 50s slap-back sounds.
- FLUTTER WIDTH, SPEED, and TONE knobs: Simulate and adjust the tape-delay
"warbled" effect and modify the high-end edge of delay repeats for an
authentic vintage sound.
- TEMPO button: Activates the TAP TEMPO function to automatically adjust the
tempo of the delay to match the song being played.
