Description

The Violet Muffer by TomKat Pedals is a recreation of the Violet Ram's Head Big Muff. It features a design that emphasizes a lot of mids and is described as having a crunchy yet smooth texture. The pedal includes a lift switch that removes the first pair of clipping diodes, enhancing the low-end response. Additionally, the pedal incorporates old stock transistors for added character.

Key technical specifications include:
- LEVEL: This knob controls the overall volume of the pedal.
- SUSTAIN: Adjusts the amount of fuzz, ranging from dirty to distortion.
- TONE: Classic muff tone knob, with lows to the left and highs to the right.
- LIFT: In the down position, the circuit is normal, while in the up position, the first pair of clipping diodes are bypassed, resulting in a beefier low-end response.

The pedal is true bypass and operates using a standard boss style negative center 9v DC power supply. It does not have a battery option.

For a comprehensive understanding of the pedal's capabilities, it is recommended to watch the provided demos with headphones or good speakers to experience the full range of the pedal.
