GFX-5

The GFX-5 by Zoom is a versatile guitar effects processor with a wide range of features and functionalities. It offers 74 choices of effects, including distortion, modulation effects, booster functions, and a cabinet simulator that replicates the sound of various guitar amps. The pedal provides 15 authentic amp models and 15 classic effects, allowing users to use up to 10 effects simultaneously. The Variable Architecture Modeling System (VAMS) adapts the internal configuration of the unit to achieve the desired sound.

The GFX-5 features 120 ready-to-use patches, with 60 user patches that can be modified and 60 preset patches. It also includes a newly developed Auto-Repeat Real-time Modulation (ARRM) feature, an integrated drum machine with 60 built- in rhythm patterns, and a 6-second sampling feature for recording and playback. The Energize function optimizes the sound characteristics to match the playback system, and the unit can be powered either from an AC adapter or from batteries, providing up to 10 hours of continuous operation with one set of alkaline batteries.

The pedal's intuitive operation and key layout make it easy to choose distortion types, adjust equalizer settings, and control effect parameters in real time using the expression pedal. The GFX-5 is designed for use on stage, with footswitches for patch selection and major effect control, as well as a rhythm tempo specification function.

The unit also includes a comprehensive set of controls and functions, such as the drive section, equalizer section, energize section, and various effect module keys for altering effects. Additionally, the GFX-5 provides a quick guide for easy setup and operation, including steps for selecting patches, altering effects with the pedal, and storing effects.
