The Alexander Pedals Oblivion Delay is a vintage delay effect pedal with four distinct delay machines: Analog, Tape, Oil Can, and Multi. Each machine has its own unique characteristics and behavior, offering a diverse range of delay effects. The pedal features a Mix control for adjusting the blend between clean and echo signals, a Time control for setting the maximum delay time, and a Repeat control for adjusting the feedback of the delay. Additionally, it includes a Tone control for adjusting the tone of the echo and a Rate control for adjusting the modulation rate.
The Oblivion Delay also offers a unique Expression Control feature, allowing the player to smoothly move between two completely different pedal settings using either a standard expression pedal connected to the REMOTE jack or a MIDI controller. The pedal supports full performance control through a standard MIDI input jack and has preset capability, allowing users to access and recall up to 128 presets using a MIDI controller.
Furthermore, the pedal features a Shift Mode, which provides additional functionality to certain controls, such as adjusting the wave shape of modulation, selecting delay machines, and controlling the overall output level. The Oblivion Delay is equipped with a USB-Mini B jack for connecting to a computer or iPad, enabling USB MIDI functionality.
In terms of physical controls, the pedal includes knobs for Mix, Time, Wave (in Shift Mode), Repeat, Tone (in Shift Mode), Rate, Depth, as well as footswitches for Bypass / Preset, Tap / Save, and Shift / Select. The REMOTE jack on the rear panel serves as either a remote tap footswitch input or an expression pedal input.
The pedal is powered using a 9V DC input with standard center-negative polarity and consumes 100 mA of power. It also features a sound selector, tap tempo functionality, and preset indicators for ease of use during live performances.
