Varicomp 3080 Compressor

The BBE Varicomp 3080 Compressor is an all-analog compressor inspired by vintage compressor pedals such as the old Ross compressor and the early MXR Dynacomp. It utilizes an authentic new old stock (NOS) CA3080 Operational Transconductance Amplifier (OTA) analog device. The Varicomp features an Attack control for greater flexibility, allowing users to achieve a tighter or spongier sound. Its design includes a robust mil-spec circuit board with fat signal traces, 1% metal-film resistors for consistency, and true hardwire bypass. The compressor also offers Output, Attack, and Threshold controls, NOS CA3080 OTA, 470K input impedance for vintage correct pickup loading, 10K Ohms output impedance when engaged, high-voltage poly caps for better tone, a blue status LED for high visibility and low power consumption, and an easy access battery compartment. Additionally, it comes with a 5-year warranty.
