The Crazy Tube Circuits Ziggy V2 is a British-flavored dual overdrive/distortion pedal designed with discreet MOSFET gain stages to respond like a tube amp with ultra-touch sensitivity. It features two separate overdrive/distortion channels – low and high gain - each with its own controls for ultimate versatility. The low gain channel is voiced after late 60s Super Bass, while the high gain channel sounds and responds like a late 70s Master Volume British amp.
The pedal includes volume, tone, and gain controls for each channel, allowing for precise adjustments. The gain knobs on both channels also act as voicing controls, adding more bass as you turn clockwise, offering a range from jangly and sparkling clean to thick crunch. The tone knobs behave as a presence control, adding bite to your tone.
The Ziggy V2 is equipped with a silent relay true-bypass switching circuit and can be powered by a 9V DC power supply (adapter not included). An internal circuitry provides 18V DC from a standard 9V DC power supply to ensure maximum headroom and a tube-like response. The pedal is housed in a robust metal enclosure and measures 72 x 118 x 50 mm, weighing 280 g. It is made in Greece and does not support battery operation.
Overall, the Ziggy V2 offers a wide range of tonal options and touch-sensitive response, making it a versatile choice for guitarists seeking British-style overdrive and distortion effects.
