The Tube-Vibe by Effectrode is a vacuum tube Uni-Vibe pedal designed with a focus on audiophile performance. Its pre-amp, mixer, and phase-shifter sections are built on triode tubes operating at real amp plate voltages. The pedal features a powerful LFO that allows sculpting thick, swampy vibe tones at higher modulation rates, as well as textural and spacious chorus effects at slower rates. The Tube-Vibe's features include:
1. All-Tube Circuitry: Provides low background noise and ample headroom for clean Vibe tones. The pedal ships with a 12AU7 tube in its input stage, but it can be swapped out for other 9-pin varieties with a higher gain factor.
2. Dual LFOs: Offers "Classic" mode for deep, swampy Uni-Vibe throb and "Smooth" mode for dreamy, ethereal chorus voicings. The LFO can also be halted (frozen) to work as a sweepable notch filter.
3. Chorus/Vibrato Switch: Selects between classic Uni-Vibe chorus and detuning pitch-bend vibrato. An internal "Blend" trimpot allows further fine- tuning of the vibe throb.
4. High Input Impedance: Ensures a wide-open and clear tone, suitable for both single coil and humbucker pickups.
5. True Bypass Switching: Utilizes Effectrode's unique 'anti-pop' or 'thump' footswitching circuitry with sealed, gold-contact relay for minimal internal audio path.
6. Expression Pedal Input: Allows control of the speed of the sweep with an expression pedal.
7. External VCO Control: Modulation speed can be controlled using an external voltage-controlled oscillator.
8. "Dakaware" Knobs: Authentic bakelite knobs manufactured in the U.S.A using original 1940s molds.
9. Purple LED: Pulsates with modulation speed for visual song tempo matching.
10. Includes 12V Wall-wart Power Supply: High-quality low-noise switched mode 12VDC at 1.5A wall-wart compatible with all Effectrode pedals.
The Tube-Vibe's premium vacuum tube signal path and high-quality audio-grade components contribute to its velvet richness and dimensional tone, making it a standout Uni-Vibe pedal with outstanding audio quality.
