Description

The Red Brick Delay by Henretta Engineering is a compact delay pedal designed for single-setting play. It utilizes the PT2399 digital delay chip, allowing your dry signal to travel through an all-analog path while the delay effect is mixed in to provide a reliable and versatile set of sounds without degrading your tone. The pedal features four internal trim controls for level, time, repeats, and tone, allowing for precise adjustments to achieve the desired delay effect. The Red Brick Delay is part of Henretta Engineering’s line of set-and-forget no-knob pedals, with internal trimmers that enable users to dial in the perfect settings and then rely on them with a tap of the foot while focusing on playing the guitar.

The pedal is housed in a tiny 2-1/8” x 2-5/16” enclosure, making it suitable for any pedal board. The input jack is on the right side, the output jack is on the left side, and the power jack is also on the left side. The Red Brick Delay can only be powered with an external power supply (9 VDC) using a center-negative barrel connector, with a maximum current draw of 30mA.

The internal controls include:
- TIME: Adjusts the delay time from just a few milliseconds to around 450 milliseconds.
- REPEATS: Controls the number of repeats, with self-oscillation possible at certain settings.
- TONE: Adjusts the tone from low-end boosted to slight mid-emphasis to high- end boosted.
- LEVEL: Controls the volume of the delay effect, with the dry signal remaining unaffected.

The Red Brick Delay offers a versatile delay effect in a compact stompbox format, making it a convenient and reliable tool for guitarists seeking a specific delay sound that can be set once and then forgotten about.
