The Queequeg by KMA Audio Machines is a monophonic suboctave generating device designed for guitar, bass, and synth applications. It features an all-analog circuit design for ultra-fast tracking, providing an organic and smooth suboctave sound. The pedal includes a single knob SUB control, allowing users to blend the generated suboctave with the clean signal. The SUB control ranges from completely clean to 100% suboctave action, with various sonic blends in between.
The pedal is powered by an optional standard 9V-18V DC PSU (negative center, 2.1mm, approx. 10mA current draw). It is housed in an indestructible powder- coated die-cast enclosure, ensuring maximum durability. The dimensions of the pedal are 74 x 128 x 60 mm, and it weighs approximately 350 g.
The Queequeg 2, the latest version, offers additional sub-octave, octave selection, and mix controls that are freely adjustable. It features three different modes and true bypass. The power consumption is 60 mA, and it is powered via a 9V DC mains adapter (not included).
The pedal is handmade in Germany and is designed, assembled, silkscreened, tested, and numbered by hand in the manufacturer's small workshop. The use of double-sided PCBs, designed, tested, and assembled by the manufacturer, ensures a high-quality standard while keeping the price reasonable.
