Body Blow

The Majik Box Body Blow is an overdrive pedal designed for use with high-gain amplifiers. The Jake E Lee Mod version of the Body Blow features a heavily modified overdrive circuit with gain, level, and tone controls, as well as true bypass circuitry. The pedal is hand-wired and built in Torrance, CA.

The key idea behind the Jake E Lee Mod was to give the Body Blow more "bark and grunt" for solos. The modification includes an extended mid-range response, making it perfect for thickening up solos. The pedal is designed to take a usual Strat bridge humbucker into a low-mid-range focused P-90 pickup territory, in addition to adding a nice dollop of gain.
