The Terran by Paradox Effects is a mid/high gain overdrive pedal with a parametric equalizer, inspired by the legendary Ampeg V4. It is designed to change the resonant qualities of the tone, emulating different types of guitar pick-ups and tube amp voices.
Key Features:
- Active Midrange filter with gain, Resonance (Q), and selectable bandwidth
(700Hz, 1kHz, 1.5kHz) for versatile tonal shaping.
- Can be used as a pre-amp to re-voice the tone, accentuate specific
frequency spectrums, or emulate different pickup types.
- Functions as a cab simulator and can be placed at the beginning of a pedal
chain or after a fuzz/distortion for better equalization.
Controls:
- LEVEL: Volume output control
- GAIN: Drive level adjustment
- BASS: Bass level in the mix
- TREBLE: High frequency level control
- MIDRANGE: Active mid levels control, amplifying up to 15db
- RESONANCE(Q): Selectivity of the midrange filter
- BANDWIDTH: Selects the central frequency of the Midrange filter between
700Hz, 1.0kHz, and 1.5kHz
Power Supply:
- 9 volt DC power supply
- Positive barrel, negative tip at the center with a 2.1mm diameter
- Current Draw: 35mA
- Recommended to use a regulated power supply for optimal performance and to
avoid unexpected noise or higher voltages.
